MESH INTEGRATION HAIR SYSTEM IN TORONTO
Custom hair integration for thinning hair and partial hair loss
When thinning through the top or crown makes traditional hair extensions difficult to conceal, a Mesh Integration Hair System can provide the additional coverage, density and length you need.
At Berenice’s Hair, each system is designed around your existing hair, your pattern of thinning and the result you want to achieve.
Appointments take place privately, one-on-one, at my North York studio.

WHEN HAIR EXTENSIONS ALONE AREN'T ENOUGH
Traditional hair extensions can add beautiful length and fullness, but they still rely on enough natural hair above the extensions to provide coverage.
If your hair has become too thin through the top, parting or crown, simply adding more extensions may not solve the problem.
Mesh Integration creates coverage in the areas that need it while allowing your existing hair to remain part of the finished style wherever appropriate.
It may be worth considering if you are experiencing:
-
thinning through the top or crown
-
a widening or increasingly visible part
-
partial hair loss
-
reduced density that makes traditional extensions difficult to conceal
-
a combination of hair loss and a desire for additional length or fullness
Suitability depends on your individual hair and scalp, which is why a consultation is required before a system is designed.

WHAT IS MESH INTEGRATION?
Mesh Integration is a custom hair system that combines a lightweight mesh foundation, a lace closure and human-hair wefts with your existing hair.
The mesh provides a foundation over the areas requiring additional coverage. Suitable natural hair can be carefully brought through and incorporated into the system.
A small lace closure creates coverage and the appearance of a natural parting, while human-hair wefts provide the additional density and length.
The finished result is then cut and blended with your natural hair.
HOW YOUR MESH INTEGRATION SYSTEM IS BUILT
1. A Custom Mesh Foundation

The foundation is designed according to the area that needs coverage rather than using the same size and shape for every client.
2. Your Natural Hair Is Incorporated

Where appropriate, your own hair is integrated through the mesh so it can remain part of the finished result.
3. A Small Lace Closure Creates the Parting

For many of my Mesh Integration systems, I use a 3×5 lace closure.
The closure provides coverage through the parting and top area without automatically covering more natural hair than necessary.
4. Human-Hair Wefts Add Density and Length

The amount of hair added depends on your natural density, desired fullness, length and overall design.
5. Everything Is Blended Together

Once the system is complete, the hair is cut and blended so your natural hair and added hair work together as one finished style.
DESIGNED AROUND THE HAIR YOU STILL HAVE
Hair loss does not look the same on everyone.
One client may need additional coverage concentrated around the parting. Another may have more extensive thinning through the crown. Length, density, texture and existing natural hair can also be completely different.
For that reason, I don't treat Mesh Integration as a one-size-fits-all system.
The size and placement of the foundation, the amount of added hair and the overall design are selected according to your individual hair.
When a smaller area of coverage is appropriate, a 3×5 lace closure can create the top coverage and parting while allowing more of your own hair to remain visible and incorporated into the finished style.

WHAT DOES A MESH INTEGRATION SYSTEM LOOK LIKE UNDERNEATH?
One of the most common questions is what is actually underneath all of the finished hair.
The structure is much simpler than it may appear from the final result:
Your natural hair + mesh foundation + lace closure + human-hair wefts
The lace closure creates the scalp-like parting at the top. The wefts provide the additional hair underneath, while suitable natural hair is incorporated throughout the system.
The goal is not to hide the construction from you. During your consultation, I'll explain how the system is built and what you will actually be wearing before you decide whether it is right for you.
IS MESH INTEGRATION RIGHT FOR ME?
Mesh Integration may be suitable for women who still have natural hair but need more coverage through the top or crown than conventional extensions can provide.
It can also be considered when thinning and loss of density make it difficult to create the desired result using extensions alone.
Mesh Integration is not appropriate for every client or every pattern of hair loss.
During your consultation, I will assess your existing hair, the location and degree of thinning and the type of coverage you need.
If another option would make more sense for your hair, we can discuss alternatives such as a Micro-Strand® Hair System, a custom hair topper or another extension solution.
CUSTOM COLOUR, LENGTH AND DENSITY
A hair system should look balanced with the person wearing it.
The added hair is selected and designed around your:
-
natural colour
-
texture
-
existing density
-
desired length
-
preferred fullness
-
overall hairstyle
The goal is not simply to add as much hair as possible. The amount of density should make sense with your natural hair and the result you want.

MADE FOR CONTINUOUS WEAR
Mesh Integration is designed to remain in place between maintenance appointments.
You can wash and style the hair while wearing the system, but regular professional maintenance and proper home care are important.
The lace closure is a delicate, wearable component and will eventually need to be replaced. The closure and human-hair wefts may also have different lifespans, which means replacing a closure does not necessarily mean replacing all of the hair in your system.
Your maintenance schedule and home-care requirements will be explained before you commit to the service.
A PRIVATE APPROACH TO HAIR REPLACEMENT
Hair thinning and hair loss can feel very personal.
All consultations and services at Berenice’s Hair take place in a private, one-on-one studio in North York.
There is no open salon environment and no need to discuss your hair concerns in front of other clients.
Your consultation gives us time to look closely at your natural hair, discuss what you would like to change and determine whether Mesh Integration is an appropriate option.
NEW MESH INTEGRATION SYSTEMS
Every Mesh Integration system is individually designed, so the final cost depends on the amount of coverage required, hair length, density and the amount of human hair used.
Pricing for your recommended system will be provided during your consultation before any hair is ordered or the system is created.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR CONSULTATION

which hair system or extension option is most appropriate
If Mesh Integration is suitable, we will discuss the proposed design, maintenance requirements and pricing before moving forward.
